The main function of the P990 was not to play games, you can get one of the other toy models/brands for that, therefore your whole argument goes up in smoke. The P990 had the best ergonomic design ever and SE has not been able to match it, far from matching they seem to be getting worse with every new model.

Remi should have at least an auto-focus. So it can compete with nokia's mid end model like 6500slide. But i really like Remi's design. Pure simplicity.

It's all well and good to call the P990i a business device. It's time was years ago, that was then, so it made sense. But nowadays, people expect the high enders to be powerhouses easily capable of doing everything else the other models can do, and more. Its an all in one convergence device. There is also a clear shift towards multimedia in the high-end sector as hardware and software are able to better support it. I would expect the best camera, music player, multimedia capabilities and internet capabilites and generally a nice looking OS from the high end.
