Why we should call hicaru as a successor of paris. It's no way matched to the paris in terms of design and spec.

This thread reminds me of the fact that 14-year old kids like to play games and watch Hannah Montana...
I can't seem to recall watching Hannah Montana a year ago.

If the screen really is that big, then surely it is running WM with a VGA/WVGA screen. The proportions of the screen mean that it cannot be QVGA. It could therefore either be WM with high res (W)VGA, or another OS with WQVGA. Can anyone confirm that UIQ (3.3?) supports WQVGA?
As regards the sliding mechanism:
I thought the entire point of SE's orginial 'dual slider' patent was that there would be two sliders (one on top of the other), and of course, one would slide in one direction and the other could slide in the other direction. It could be possible that Hikaro uses such a design feature to have a landscape QWERTY keyboard but has something different (like a regular alphanumeric keypad, or a d-pad, or softkeys, or a 3G camera, or camera control keys) on the downslide. That would be truly awesome. Expensive, too.

I can't wait till next week then for more photos.
I hope they keep the qwerty rocker keyboard they had on paris because I'd prefer that over the full qwerty keyboard on the X1.
I might end up holding to get a new phone till the end of the year if this phone turns out to be a gem

@tob!s
it seems that there are two hard buttons below the screen. It contradicts to what you said before that no buttons and dpad
