' Guys, I've already given up on trying to convince jjjimmy otherwise... It seems pretty obvious that he's already made his mind up and isn't too interested in having it changed - at least not without someone handing him a machine in-the-flesh to show physically otherwise! ... Maybe that's the plan? He's pushing for a review model? <VBG> Additionally he seems "grammatically-challenged" - another circumstance he seems to be comfortable with, making it real hard to argue on a forum like this where language is our primary tool!
' Everyone else has been reassured and we as individuals know what's fact, so let's leave it at that, no?
' Nice to be able to post again BTW, 'stead of just lurking!
' Later!

no point arguing on language and playing wording games with jjjimmy... we all know the truth... just wait till P990 out and he will know what you all are trying to tell him...
Let's focus on when is the release date for P990...
From what my understanding.. for P990, on flight mode, there is an option for user to turn on or off the WLAN function. As all major flight are supporting wifi service, and it is very crucial service for businessman who on long flight and need to keep in touch with their clients and stock trading..
Correct me if there is any grammar mistake in my post.. really stress when see u all keep arguing for something that non-beneficial to other esato forumers...
cheerzz...

hi why is it that SE is not coming with any release date.... they had some problems with the stability of the operating system but i also read that they have nearly ovecome that..
then it was the story that they wanted the software manufatures to produce more softwares....
why is this delay....i am sure some one from SE must be reading these and must be able to answer

Ok, to stop your nonsense, PDAJAH (I assume it is our Jah in esato and a sincere thanks to you

) has so kindly join up bengalboy's forum "on your behalf" and posted this query to Bengalboy. Here's what Bengalboy has to say about this "debate".
"Yes, the P990i supports the use of WiFi during a call. You can talk on the phone and check email or surf the internet while connected to a WiFi Network.
So, I hope you were able to win some money on that argument!!!

"
Enough said, cos both Michal and Bengalboy has responded to your FAMOUS claim that "WiFi is only turned on FLIGHT mode which means GSM/3G off". And oh, I belive there is no need for me to post the link to bengalboy's forum, since you keep "quoting" him all these while and I am absolutely sure that you know how to find your way there to view his above reply

Surely it's nice that WiFi works on the P990 as it should...
Nevertheless, SE has a strange attitude to disable important features, and to lock lots of useful system functions away from developers. Major examples are fax and call recording, features supported by Symbian, but disabled in all SE smartphones, including the coming ones.
Not to mention the new security features that will prevent us from freely deciding what we install. Well, this latter "feature" is common for all new Symbian phones...
