@vbayma. Something i found.

Generaly though all SE firmwares take aprrox 4 weeks from start to finish to be placed onto the SEUS server. However some times they can take longer.

@negrescumari

I have noticed about a 2-3 hour drop probally in usage. I dont get a 3g network where i live so i have to make do with Edge or GPRS, However i leave 3g network function on if so to find it if im out and about.

However I do on average send 50-100 sms aday, a couple of mms, about 1 hour of wap and game usage, 1-2 emails and Web feeds about 4 times aday.

My phone was charged to 100% last night and my current battery usage after today is 68% which i did make a 15 min call as well as the other stuff above this morning.

Oh and i have took 2 pics with flash and a 20 second video too.

Yesterday before i charged the phone, I had sent 162 sms, but no phone calls or emails. did use wap for about a hour and played crazy golf for 20 mins. Used web feeds again 4 times during the day. Phone was at 44% and when i went to charge it it was at 14%.

Hope the above helps

@Dogmann ... I'm not sure I'd say it's OK to do it or not, but I think that's what they've done - I think it was the same when I got my w800i

The process is probably quicker than beta testing - and yeah, I'd still pay a premium for it to get it sooner, knowing it has software probs that can be fixed - If it had hardware probs (which some people have had) then that's wrong... and yeah they should have been a bit more transparent and told people that the software might not be top notch yet and let people decide - but then microsoft et al don't!

i guys i have bought my k850i last sunday. and i have a question regarding the contact. i have set my contact to sort using "last name" so If i have a contact name "John Doe" and "John Mark Doe" it would display in the contacts as follows:

Doe, John
Doe, John Mark

my problem is when i try to call "Doe, John Mark". It will show that i am trying to call "Mark Doe, John"

my phone fw is R1CA037 unbranded.

Guys, from what you are saying, seems that they have overclocked a bit or left more processes in the ram. That could explain faster draining of the batt?

@darrengf, have you tried to benchmark it with the new fw?

Maybe they overclocked some processes....But i suspect that this is a mistake...The same had appeared in some firmware versions of other models:e.g. K700i and they correct it.

Guys,i have a question:how can they make faster the phone?Do they write the statements in the code of its operating system a bit different so they can be executed more efficiently?Or do they overclock the processor?And if they overclock the processor how can the phone consumes less power?(not exactly this phone,but in general-as we saw the battery life of K700,K750 and K800 has increased with the software updates whereas the phones performed a lot faster)

I would guess speed is reached in time by cleaning up of the os coding. Just a guess..

But now few are saying the battery is draining up quicker than before so my guess is that they either increased the proc. clock or , most likely, they filled the ram more. Some of the people are complaining about "not enough memory" message. But, again, it is just my guess...

Just another update on the battery life.

I charged my phone overnight on Monday. Took it off at 7am Tuesday, I've sent and received a total of about 75 messages and done absolutely nothing else with the phone at all. The battery is now at 14%.

It wasn't very good on 037 but on 038 it is absolutely shocking.

EDIT @ 16:48 - Down to 12% now after 3 more texts. Unbelievable.

I have a Very big problem with my phone, Got a VF with the 38 FW but the media player is all messed up (the media player text is duplicated where the other copy of the text is slightly offset)

You can see for yourself (sorry for the poor pic but you can see that the photo is not blurry)

I have tried master reset but it doesn't fix the problem
Updating the phone via SEUS fixes the problem but it gets all blurry after you open the media player a couple of times

Anyone got the same problem or managed to fix it?

Battery now down to 3%.

Thats 37 hours from an overnight charge. Absolutely pathetic and completely unacceptable. If this isn't fixed with the next software then I shall seriously consider getting rid of this phone.
