Absolutely agree with that. But Sony has/had no other option I think... S820 will come earliest in Q4 and that's too late... Maybe Sony should try the new Intel chips...

BTW, I personally don't like how they combine microSD card slot and nano-SIM slot, because I need to only take out the memory card sometimes.
+1

Yet another confirmation for what the majority of the rumors say by another xda member (jonmorris) related to sony:
the device that xperiajunkie got a hold of is the smaller update and the bigger update will be announced at ifa. the naming of the smaller update whether it is called z3_ or z4 or whatever doesn't really matter, read page 45:
http://forum.xda-developers.c[....]eria-z4-thread-t2945351/page45
i would rate it as xr4-5 - at least very high chance of being correct.
so in other words, bigger updates like imx230, etc. most likely are for the october release main flag.

Thanks for the confirmation. My thoughts were right. The question is who the hell need this device?

Same source also said no more z ultra. Guess it's time to bid farewell.

By the way this sounds highly interesting. A very bright idea.
You'll need google translate.

It's time to beat
Exynos 7420
I don't know how high the S6 would score/reach when it would have only a 1080p screen.

After the brutal beating AnandTech gave the Snapdragon 810 in the M9 review? Yep, its a damn shame.
Hopefully the 820 will be here soon with Qualcomm's own architecture, after the great job they did with the 800, 801 and 805, the 810 is truly disappointing.
As i said, what Sony should use with the imminent release?
Sony have a deal with Qualcomm and i think it will not use the 801 or 805.
You are again showing free antipathy.
If Sony release exactly the same Galaxy S6 with Sony's logo on it you would seek some abstruse argument to complain.
You has nothing to add here.

@king-james
You're welcome.
@xperiazultra
No source claimed that there won't be a new high end phablet (or main flag with bigger display for that matter) from sony in 2015 and that is a fact. we will know the answer for sure as time gets closer to ifa. anyway, sony has 2 viable options:
1. make a new flag phablet in 5.7"-6".
or
2. increase the main flag to 5.5" and make it an option also for phablet seeker like apple is doing with the iphone 6 plus.
i can't see a reality where sony keep ignoring the phablet market in 2015 as well unless they plan to close their mobile division and they already clearly denied it.

The phablet scene is dominated by the Note, LG tried with many devices all of which have disappeared. Unless Sony does something a little special, I don't see the point. The original Ultra was just a little too big and uncomfortable. If they make one it should be a specs powerhouse like the Note and I say make it thicker and have ridiculous amounts of storage and battery life, power users would certainly appreciate that. Give it ZL like minimal bezels and a stylus too, never liked using a pencil on the screen although the idea was cool. The Z3 is doing really well as it the Z3C so keep improving them.
I think that the LG and Sony will release with a well optimised SD810 unlike HTC. It seems like the heating issue is gone. Samsung were smart with their chip but the graphics are a let down, my suspicions are that they used Exynos also because they had it ready but we know from the past that they may just release a S6 variant with SD810. Exynos is pretty damn good but again, lets see what Sony and LG do with their SD810 based phones (not including the Flex 2 because that looked rushed like HTC).
As for the review sites, S6 has been great against the HTC but I'm keen to see how it does against the Z4 and LG G4 to get a fairer view of SD810. Despite the weak battery on the S6 and lack of expandable memory, the S6 has addressed a lot of issues from previous years and because of that you see just how much better the S6 was received compared to the HTC.

By the way, what I don't understand is, why release a mid range 6 inch phablet and not do tje same in high-end where the profit margin is higher.

You do know that manufacturing a higher-end terminal also costs more than a midranger? They also outsource their midrange manufacturing too.
I, as much as I liked it, don't thing we'll see a worthy ZU successor, ever again.
It was a flop sales wise.
