@masseur. One shareware program i can think of is avi2000gif which you should be able to find. You can convert from avi to gif and if avi is a problem there are plenty of programs to convert mp4 or 3gp to avi first. Goodluck. I've not tried this cos i've not got the phone yet and won't have until my contract ends in aug. I've only just found out you can have animations as caller ids. Search for Microsoft Gif Animator (it's free). This lets you convert .AVI files into animated gifs.

Macromedia's Flash lets you export flash movies as animated gifs.
You can also import a video clip into flash and then export as an animated gif. (I'm waiting for the phone that will play the .swf files... the Clie does to an extent.)
