Hey guys a quick question for a quick reply.

I started downloading music on my k750, but I don't add the music through the File Manager that was on the k750 CD but throught the new Drive that appears as G for me, which is the memory stick. First of all I hope it won't harm the phone .. and secondly if I make folders on the Memory Stick will they show up on the phone as well, because I want to make a different folder for my Music MP3 files and my MP3 Ringtones ... let me know if thats possible and what would be the best way to do it.

Thanks a bunch.

oh dear CoolMeEddy.

What a mess you're in.

Right follow these quick instructions and you might save your phone, your memory card and your life.

1) Climb to the top of the nearest block of flats (a multi storey car park will also work)

2) Shout help in your loudest voice for around 20 minutes

3) If anyone approaches crawl into a ball and pretend you're a hedgehog

4) Wait for some nice men in white jackets to arrive in their 'special' taxi

5) They should take you to your new 'lab' which should be a nice warm comfy padded room where you can do your crazy experiments without the fear of hurting anyone around you

6) Good luck

well CoolMeEddy.. i have been doing that when i got the phone..it is ok to do that as the memory stick ack as a storage when you hook it to the comp. Just remember to use the safely remove hardware icon in your task bar in your comp when unattaching your phone.
Peace out..

@ happycheesecake - sorry to sound so sceptical, but i'll believe it when i see it.

Although what you've said sounds great news, i wont believe it until the firmware is released and its on my phone. I just hope that what you're saying is true, and you're simply not just pulling our leg.

jackie, try using a different USB port. on my Acer notebook, that has three USB ports, the SEUS only works on one. i have not bothered to find out the technical explanation for this, since i know which port it will work.

cheers.

Now the question that those of us watching the box last night may have is...drum roll...What did the cheesecake have to say but doesn't want to say anymore? What about the new FW?

The explanation for this is that each USB port has its own ID, and every usb device that gets installed are "connected" to that specific USB ID. If you move a USB device to a different USB port it needs to reinstall the drivers. If for instance you have a USB printer installed you will see under properties that its perhaps installed on USB0, if you connect the printer to a different USB port it will install a second printer on USB1, and you will now have 2 printers if you look under printers. If you move your USB mouse to a different USB port it will reinstall drivers for that etc. etc.
Usually reinstallation of the drivers will be an automatic process, but some devicedrivers require a litle manuel help to reinstall properly.
