Gosh it's all quiet here today, in lieu of the anticipated (not so) big announcement tomorrow.

So should P series owners not get their hopes up?

why is it that Eldar really pounding in on Sony Ericsson? I really just don't get it. If he has an ill feeling towards this company, don't you think it is much better if he just stay away to any SE related issue???

He's just telling how it is - I don't see why this is considered to be "pounding"?

Why can't YOU be just grateful for some insider knowledge on aspects like the eternal PS phone rumors?

Yeah, Eldar wasn't too bad this time. He sounded about right mostly, although some of the things he says make you wonder whether he actually knows these things or whether he makes just them up to pad out his story.

For example the bit about heated board room discussions. You wonder how he knows that happened. But yeah, I can believe his story mostly.

The PSP targets a very narrow segment. The problem for a gaming phone is how to compete with the DS, not reproduce the PSP.

Time and time again, Nintendo are able to ignore the enthusiasts, deliver to the mass market and make good money from both segments. When we go round my mates house after a beer, it's usually the Wii that gets fired up, not the xbox.

Even more amazingly Nintendo can come back a year later with the same device in a smaller box and the same people buy that too, it's crazy and shows how un-important enthusiast opinnions are. Make it work well enough and cheap enough and people will come.

Imagine how well a DS phone would sell and how easy it would be to make.

Nintendo's for casuals. I owned all the consoles and wii was the most dissapointing for me. I always preferred to play on 360 whenever any game was multi plat. But thats my choice.

But yeah DS is nice.

but one should be fair here, the guy is hitting some correct points.
i wanna add one more thing, Sony do not reject the request to allow a cross branding of its PS brand to a mobile phone model unless they are prepping for somthing similar. why would they allow the PS brand to jump over mobile phone subsidiary, if they have some plans to bring a mobile phone functionality to their successful PSP ! right?
