Is there an option to buy this phone unlocked in Canada? (I believe the Xperia ZL was Rogers only, and Xperia Z was Bell exclusive), but I'm not with either of the carrier.

T-Mobile are almost certain to carry Honami. No other carrier will offer sony phones at least for this year.

I thought it was Bluetooth after NFC?

Read the articles. They only mention NFC and WiFi. No BT.

NFC is incredibly slow, it can't be used for any proper data transfer. NFC is really only useful for setting up another connection (and it's pretty good at that). Tap two things together and they'll automatically pick the best way to connect to eachother, whatever it is.

The lenses do their data transfer over WiFi, always. This means you can basically put your lens down somewhere, go to a different room and still have it work. The range won't be WiFi-router like, but it's still a pretty nice amount.

NFC is only used to pair devices, not as a the main transfer protocol.

I believe the new lens accessories use wifi as the transfer protocol and NFC to pair.

On the PS4 NFC will likely only be used to pair devices too, then wifi to transfer.

NFC simply isn't designed to quickly transfer large amounts of data. Only small packets.
