Also, does anyone know if PS4 or PS4 controller have NFC? There was a video on here a long time ago showing how to link your PS3 controller to your Sony-phone, it would be amazing if you could do it through NFC to a controller to play games on your phone, or use tap your phone to the console and have it link as an additional controller
What is the advantage of using NFC over the current bluetooth setup?
NFC is more practical for short range and low data... the need of having a real physical proximity between both NFC devices makes it very good to handle the start of both Bluetooth and WiFi Direct connection, both which are very annoying to start with all these steps required to search and pair...
I think the Idea is very simple, as soon as you touch the smartphone with the lens, the NFC will trigger then both will be connected using WiFi Direct, and the camera app will start so it will be ready... no need to turn things on and searching and connecting like what you do when using WiFi Direct...

I thought it was Bluetooth after NFC?
Read the articles. They only mention NFC and WiFi. No BT.
Read what articles? I know they use both WiFi or Bluetooth after pairing with NFC for data transfer.
LOL, now we're arguing about NFC.

With wifi connection, I wonder if there will be noticable lag between pressing shoot to transfering file to writing file completion...
Taking scenary shots Shouldn't be a problem, but interesting to see if it can cope well with fast moving objects, such as sports scene, for example.
This, and how battery-power-sapping this combo will be on the phone would be my deciding factor as to whether i will buy or not..

Why should the files be transferred instantaneously? The lens cameras store the photos on SD card in the body itself, the phone only acts as a viewfinder/controller.

Oh, in that case, no lag then. I didn't think about storage within the lens attachment
And another Q... what about videos? Jpeg engine only?

@Ramu; do you know if Tmobile will offer 32GB versions as well? Also, can you speculate about Croatia launch?
