@casper: are you sure they said it was gprs and not MMS? if it was gprs, did you ask how much the charges were? pag di sila makasagot then hindi tuloy yun

when i had my mms activated (that was about 2 days ago) the cs said that charging of MMS will start 1Sept02. i too asked about gprs, and she said, "no advise yet from their marketing dept." (word 4 word)

how would they charge mms if they wouldn't charge GPRS (not arwin)? if they would charge mms by using the globe gateway (which sucks by the way), what if i use a 3rd party mms provider like tactel? there are alot of what ifs in this mms/GPRS thingy and still no advise from globe itself. well no letters, text message or even a small note in my bill for this month so right now i still hold to the fact that they will not charge yet.

all i can say is...
enjoy the services while they're still free...
gprs, mms, etc.....all these services will have charges sooner or later, but it's not everytime you get 'em free.

from the start never used the globe gateway, never will as long as tactel is fine with me using their gateway.
really contemplating on switching to smart. a friend of mine told me that their (smart's) international text is part of the free text allocated to post paid subscriber. and of course they have the ACES service that would be really be nice for me since i go to japan most of the time. hmmmm.....
