Oh FFS, the annual Dakar Rally has just been cancelled due to concerns over $%^*ing Al Qaeda attacks in Mauritania...!

@ JC, Hope they'll sort it out properly boet, and that they don't take ages in doing so.

@ Gucci,
It was due to start this Saturday. It's the first time in 30 years of the event that it's cancelled. Don't think it's going to materialise at all this year now...

Maybe it's their indirect attempt to save the environment by reducing exhaust emissions All the same, it's quite a blow to those communities who depend on the rally as a vital source of income.

Agh! That sux! It could be a combo of what you and Kryptik have said. Its the only form of rally i watch, otherwise i hardly watch the WRC.

Guys, i stumbled across an absolutely brilliant site. You know how sometimes you've an item you'd like to dispose of, but you know that somebody could probably use it, but you're not sure where to find that somebody? Well, there's a group called Freecycle who believe that, instead of dumping stuff, we can freecycle them, i.e. list them on a database where others who may need them can see what's available. The only condition is that you don't sell, only donate. In the same manner you can request items, should you so wish. Check out http://www.freecycle.org/group/ZA/ for a list of current South African groups.

hehehe you're just jealous because mine swung before yours

Just tried the P.E. site, listed a PS2 dvd remote which has been sitting in a drawer feeling very sorry for itself. It found a new owner within the first 5 minutes!
