Hi, ordered my W960i today! got an upgrade with O2, 12 month £30 a month contract reduced from £45 - online 800 (800 minutes anytime, and 1000 texts) and the phone for £49.99! not bad eh means phone has cost me £230 over 12 months ((12 x £15) + £50) as my previous sim only contract was £15 a month

I'm tempted to get the O2 Pay as you go phone from Carphonewarehouse and put my orange sim in it...
Does anyone know if the O2 Pay as you go phone is unlocked?

I think your numbers are a bit of kid-ology but glad you're happy with the deal.
Beware though of these contracts as the data limit is 1mb. Might be OK with a few RSS feeds but follow the link to the page a few times and you'll be paying £3 per MB thereafter. The £10 bolt-on gives 'unlimited' data (subject to a 200mb 'fair usage' policy) and stuck on the back end of a cheap tariff could save you money.
Monitor your usage carefully over the next two or three months.
Does anyone else miss the side-mounted 'back' button as much as I do?

I don't. Never used it on my P990i for some reason. Think its because I always use stylus therefore two handed use for anything other than phone calls etc.

I was looking at this, then found they did it handset only for £349.95 - so popped into Carphone Warehouse and found they actually had it in stock. So far quite impressed, just need to get used to UIQ3 from 2.

Spot on!! I still wish they had included 5 way jog for UIQ3 devices. The P910i was still my best phone for user interface. Only bought the P990 because I lost my P910i and it was no longer available for sale.
Must admit I'm loving the W960i much more than the P990i. Big factors are the much more usable today screen, the excellent Walkman player/8GB storage and the large amount of RAM for multitasking.
