@dups- nokia had been with S60 for over half a decade but the n97 came out with more bugs than the satio. The bugs in the S60 were mostly OS related.

Apologies for dragging this so long and being off-topic.

@se_dude
Agreed on the N97 and Nokia's long time use of the os but how do we justify SE working on ONE smartphone for this long and having such problems? Given that their track record with their A200 platform (took long to bring to stability) is not that good one would've expected a decent product. To some of us when reports of poor software implementation appear we immediately see their past phones and look at other manufacturers.

This is overall about SE's capabilities or lack of in software programming/development.

For their sake I hope they have managed to fix the X10 or else...

I have been wanting a P1 replacement from SE and it is apparently on its way in the form of Android but am not buying anything from SE until I see a healthy company that is profitable and able to deliver top notch products that are stable. So, I am patiently waiting for their Q2 2010 result to see if there is still life in them. For now I am looking elsewhere.

Guys, iPhone OS and Andorid are both very responsive, even the XM 5800 goes at a fair lick. A quick UI is expected by the consumer or its back to the iPhone for many because its simple and fast. Nokia can prat about with buggy software and stuff but are in poor shape financially. Its not a matter of which is the fastest but the X10 being smooth is so important. A 1Ghz processor with a slow UI will not be accepted by anyone.

When you go to your local Carphonewarehouse and ask to play with the phones, its where the iPhone does its magic and before you know it, another iPhone buyer despite its flaws. You need to look at it from an average guys point of view. I guess MWC will be judgement day. We should also see the other Android devices from so it should be interesting to see if they have the same UX and how they run as there could be Androids under 1Ghz.

For those who claim that the 8mp camera of x10 will be the best choice among the high end smartphones in 2010...i have bad news:

Iphone 5MP camera in 2010 will have CCD sensor .............And you all know what does this means...........

Happy Christmas to all of you guys there!

It means nothing to me more than it will consume more power than the CMOS sensor does.
As for the performance, I wouldn't hold my breath for Apple getting it right with their camera part.
Oh yes, it also means they are hopelessly behind again
Not even Canon use CCD sensor in their expensive DSLR cameras

did you mean Canon doesn't use CCD sensor?

I'd have to agree with McKinley.. Apple's implementation of a camera in the iphone will probably not impress anybody. BUT... it will still sell like crazy. Anyway, what is your source Sealover? Apple is very secretive. I doubt any of your information is fact.
