they a load of crap if you ask me.

Then why are you commenting on them? If you don't like them then don't read them.

I can see where your coming from about the long quotes...but honestly it's up to him if he want's too. I've read a few and they're interesting and make sense.

If i had the time i'd read them all, i'd no doubt benefit in some way from them, so i'm glad your not stopping peterkay.

Maybe if you guys quoted as much from your own holy books etc we could all learn a little more about your religions...or at least hear a lol less of the B!tching from you.

Either put up or shut up!

i have to say that the first ten pages of this topic are infinitely more interesting than the last ten.

i personally have no objection to people posting from their various holy writings, although i don't read every single one of them.

@Peter: i think it would be more interesting if you were to also comment on your interpretation or the significance of the verses you quote. sometimes it's obvious how the verse relates to the discussion but at other times less so.

imho - to say "it's all explained if you read it" is a bit of a cop out for those not familiar with the subject matter. and we may find that your interpretation differs from that of others in this thread.

Quote:It was extremely disturbing to know that you stood on the floor and quoted Sikh militants as the ones who blew up the Indian Prime Minister. Some of us have watched you on C-SPAN. How wrong can you get? How could you blame the Sikhs when they were not involved in the act? For your information, it is well-known fact that it was a Tamil Lady who blew him apart and whose group in turn has been trained by Mossad in Israel. What a shame it is for an US Congress man to tell a lie like this.
What has that got to do with this thread?

Quote:The day, the Sikhs get their own state of Khalistan, the tyrants will be brought to book.
So sikhs are gonna take revenge for whatever the "tyrants" did to them once they get a nation of their own?
Is that their only intention?
And btw, a separate state carved out of India for "Khalistan" will remain a piped dream. There are only a handful of folks who like to see that.
I've known and interacted with sikhs for too long to believe in Khalistan and related shit.

Quote: But one scenario Sikh will not like to see. And that is the affiliation of the Jews or any other God fearing people ( Nation) with tyrants who have massacred and butchered the innocent Sikhs. Unfortunately India’s state terrorism against the Sikhs continues.
Who are you to say about the foreign policy of Israel?
And please tell me what state terrorism the sikh community is currently undergoing in India?
Having lived in India all my life, i'm hearing of this "state terrorism" from folks who live thousands of miles away!

Quote:At present, we are going through very trying but changing times. India is going through a transition with the radical fundamentalist Hindu majority (BJP) coming into power. That in itself will prove to be the further down fall of that country not to speak of corruption and oppression of the minorities. India will disintegrate soon, and Khalistan will emerge as a power to reckon with. Please help us and not oppose us. Today the whole Sikh World is observant of their friends and foes alike and history will be the witness.
India disintegrating??

Man you folks have some extremely vivid imagination skills!

And when was this dumb article written? When the BJP had come to power six years ago!!

Quote:May God Bless you.
Yeah you need his blessings......along with some medical attention.

I have found that religion and politics rarely mix so perhaps we can keep the political discussions for another thread (if such topics have to be discussed at all)?

What I find interesting is how many people can purport to act in the name of a religion yet show very little, if any, respect for the core values of said religion.
