yeh they have brought out quite a cool looking laptop and I think it would be ok if they kept the price the same, but they didnt, in america they did but in the UK they raised it by £100 or almost $170, that is just not cool

it looks good but the features havent actually been bumped u, other then a a grafix car you have to log out and back in to use. It really is quite retarded, surely they could have made it automatic when it needs to be used.

funnily enough they did bump the speed of the model above, if you wanted to upgrade it for a nice 200 quid, but they have kept both other specs the same. I really think they are taking the piss a bit with it all. A increase like that is just price skimming.

I think if I could easily buy a non mac platform and install mac on it I would just do that and buy a sony or sumin with some decent spec.

She wants a MacBook, and I suggested she wait a few weeks until the new ones come out. She only needs the lowest spec one for what she wants to do on it, but now, to get any of the new features (aluminium case, glass multi-touch trackpad, better graphics card), you have to buy the mid or higher-priced models. Minimum outlay of £950, instead of the previous £700.

The lowest priced model is just the same old white plastic one from yesterday except it's £20 more.

You could order from this apple website: Clicky

and get the White MacBook for £620 or the New MacBook for £820?

Ended up getting the top-spec previous model (2.4 Ghz, 2.0GB RAM, 160GB HDD, SuperDrive) for £700 from Dixons Tax-free at Luton Airport.

The "new" low-spec MacBook is only 2.1Ghz, 1.0GB RAM and 120GB HDD for £19 more money!

Not a bad deal overall...

The new macbooks are nice and slick, the only thing i would like is the touchpad but other than that im happy with my MBP. Hopefully it will last me another few years before i need to upgrade.

I have a question though the recently added folder on iunes has gone, did a google search but nothing, anyone have any ideas?

@p900 lover

set up a new smart playlist and tell it to only include files added in the last 3 days/5 days/week/month etc.

File > New Smart Playlist > "Date added is in the last [number of days].
Tick live updating, press ok and it's all done.

is anyone else having issues after the latest Airport Extreme update for Leopard? My iMac is regularly dropping its connection! It's deffo my computer, because the Windoze laptop I've got sitting here next to it is browsing happily with no drops whatsoever!
And after it drops, it reconnects after like 5 secs with no issues, but then drops again 2 mins after!
It's a bloody nuisance, especially because I find myself signing in and out of msn 10 times during every conversation!
