Something is very wrong when people only use GSMArena as the only source for Picture quality comparison.

... and they frequent the z2 thread to brag but couldn't accept that the real pros at dxomark rank the z2's camera on top.

well, the s5 hasn't been tested yet but we've seen how gsmarena praised the s4's camera to high heavens only for dxomark to set things straight by ranking the z1 at number 2 alongside iphone 5s.

people with common sense know that the opinions of people who truly understand photography and use systematic testing methods have more weight than the combined opinions of all tech review blogs out there.

They will not use only GSM Arena.
Will use every source that put Sony in a worse position.
emersonshei(Guarulhos) still butthurted because DX0 dethroned it's beloved pureviews.
Tsepez only use Sony in the same phrase if it is accompanied by some critical comment.
What do you all expect?
Fair comments? C'mon...

File commander works like a 1st party app, Sony has chosen that one, which is a bad bad decision. Should have chosen ES file explorer, tons more option.

It should but it doesn't.
For instance Explorer (simpler Es file expl. version) doesn't allow this. Pity, yes. But File Commander isn't that bad.

noob question here. What happens when we give the phone an official update from SONY,It does get unrooted right? so these apps lose the root privileges ?Which means it wont be able access its data from the SD card?

It does not work exactly like that.

The apps don't use the root privileges to access/write on the SD card.

Simply said, there is a configuration file that among other things, defines whether apps can access the SD card or not. This file is normally read-only and cannot be changed. When you get rooted, this file can be changed, in order to grant apps access to the SD card.

So after the change in this configuration file is made, you can remove the root and the apps will still have access to the SD card.

But when you install an official update from Sony, not only you are going to lose the root, but also this particular configuration file will be overwritten with its original version, thus the apps will lose their access to the SD card.

They provide studio shots for every phone they test and you can compare 3 phones at the same time.. its very handy. There isn't much to it really, you put them on a tripod, and you shoot..

Do you think they are manipulating the results ?
