I think there are probably more insiders here than people realise.

Looking at the code from tonyllc I'm going to guess we aren't getting a super high resolution sensor, more likely the same sort of thing as the Note 9. 12Mp, dual pixel, 1.4um pixels, 0.3s super slow motion, but maybe 3x that sensor with 16, 26 and 52mm, and F1.6 in there too on the 26mm. The new hardware might bring more things with it, like OIS, new processing etc. I feel like they would need to fix some of the basic weaknesses of the current camera setup, like low light processsing, before going crazy.

So if Docomo have three mid and only one high end, does that mean no Compact at all? Conflicting information as I assumed that the Compact would be ready for MWC. Maybe everything is being shaken up the same way that the XA3 design was?

Tony said the front cam is like xz3. So very high chance that it's 13mp. I doubt Sony would give less mp in main sensor.

Eldar said it's 58mp which makes 14.5 in qbayer. Which is in line with Tony's code.

0.3 seconds could be anything but Tony mentioned 0.02s af as 0.01s faster than Xperia.

It's likely they'll give 26 and 52mm on the same sensor. Because of AUBE.

If the sensor is as big as rumored, ois could make the module too big but all things considered, a quad Bayer sensor with a mono and AUBE and new processing, Sony should play for the top with or without ois.

It's rumored to be midrange with sd660, is it considered high end in Japan? The leaked render also gives it midrange traits like no cam button, 3.5mm jack.

is it really a must for AUBE?

I suppose if they have intention on keep giving a clean almost noise-free night footage.

Also 12MP 4:3 would be 9 or 10MP 16:9 and less than 8MP 21:9.
Which would prevent the device from recording 4K 21:9.

I would say it is way more practical to increase sensor size while maintain current resolution than using AUBE

@Ppl

XA3, Ultra and L3 (3 mid), XZ4 high end so where does the Compact fit in?
