@Residentevil
Are you in CA? If so, $2.69 isn't bad for Cali.

Here is the reason why high end phone models make it late to the U.S. or never make it at all.

I am from the State Californians like to move to.
And yes you mostly can get only cheap handsets for the hamburger eating, overweight and HS educated American in the mobile stores here in the US. Unfortunately. I wish we were advanced like England in this matter.

Here is my two cents why High-End cell phone is late coming or never make it to mainland US.
California for example, they have a very strict standard on handset EMI, at least the unit does not emit no more than 0.3 watt of power.
Bells & Whistle, the majority of cell phone user in the US they don’t want to deal with the boredom Text messages. Camera phone very low quality, they rather used a digital camera. GPRS or Hot Spot (WiFi) added price on the monthly bills and its too slow. Average American don’t want to pay a high-end cell Phone and services that they don’t need, that makes the market value of high-end unit below business expectation.
The majority of users all they want for their cell phone is simple, as long as you can talk from point-A to point-B it don’t matter if the cell phone is $25 or $50 unit.
thats my 2 cents

Gas here in Honolulu, Hawaii is currently 3.12 at the no-name gas stations and 3.35 at the national brand gas stations. On the smaller islands it's around 4 bucks a gallon.

At least it's not as bad as in Europe.
