What I find interesting is how many people can purport to act in the name of a religion yet show very little, if any, respect for the core values of said religion.
and that right there is the core problem with almost every religious or pseudo-religious conflict. as i have said before - religion doesn't cause the problem, it's the people.

Such great words from our creator cannot be 'crap'. I would not say such a thing about your scripture but you are uneducated and have no manners with regards to peoples faith. You will be questioned on what you have stated above in front of your creator and then try to use the same word and see where you end up.
Verse 6 from Chapter 25 states:
Say: "The Quran was sent down by Him who knows the mystery that is in the heavens and the earth: verily He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
The verse tells us that the Holy Quran is sent to us from The sustainer and creator of mankind and ONLY he knows the mysteries in this universe and beyond. The Master, The Great, The Punisher, The Forgiver, The All Seeing will aslo forgive whom he wishes and punish whom he wishes.
Verse 77 from Chapter 25 states:
Say to the Rejecters: "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected Him, and soon will come the inevitable punishment!"
The verse above states clearly that Almighty Allah does not need you to worship him, but if you are to reject him then wait for the punishment of all punishments where no help will be available. I pray that Almighty Allah saves us all from his punishment and may Allah forgive all our sins - Amen

@PK
I like the new comments included with your quotes (helps me understand the quote a little better).
@All (well most)
Seems most of you religious guys hold grudges against others from different religions for what they did/may have done to your people, even if these acts are centres old.
Do your gods/religions not teach you forgiveness and to love one another?

i for one am not going to slag off your beliefs but will point out its requires a huge leap of faith (as it were) to accept these things, if god is all loving all knowing and all powerful how can he let recent events occur im not talking about freewill ie a man kills another man, but hurricanes tornados theses are not man made.
so if the so called creator created these and knows the effect and the loss of life how can he be all loving from this all i can see is a vengeful wrathfull creator and not the figure painted as all loving by so many religions.
i accept anyone faith and if you truly believe then good luck to you i like to think im a health sceptic and until someone can present something concrete i find it very hard to beleive

I knew this question would pop up sooner rather than later, anyway you are correct that the events that occur like the Tsunami, Hurricanes and Earthquakes aren't man made and they are done by our Creator Almighty God. It is a sign for mankind that our Creator is unhappy with our actions on HIS earth and we are not following his commandments.
Verse 13-18 from Chapter 69 states:
Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet,
And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,-
On that Day shall the Great Event come to pass.
And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy,
And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.
That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden.
The above verses state what will happen on the day of judgement when none of our acts on this planet will be hidden. His punishment is severe and the events we see on this planet are just a glimse of his power. As a Muslim when we hear of such events we repent to our Creator and ask for forgiveness, if he can create and Earthquake on one side of the globe he can surely do the same here if he wills.
Verse 82 from Chapter 36 states:
Verily, when He intends a thing, His Command is, "be", and it is!
Almighty Allah just says 'Be' and it happens, he has the power to do anything and he has the power to punish who he wishes, All i can say is repent and be very careful as he knows what we are doing and he is more closer to us than we think.
Verse 16 from Chapter 50 states:
And We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
Hope that helps!

see this is where i always lose faith with religion ( IF YOULL PARDON THE PUN)
on the one hand we have an image of god presented to us as all loving all knowing all powerful and on the other hand we have this vengeful jealous god who wishes to shower down his wrath on people whenever the mood takes him.
thats a circle i can never square with religion why should i follow a god who at anymoment can strike down innocent people because he is annoyed with some other people. many children died who had no sins to be punished for.
i am not saying people cant have faith just this is why i struggle to have any
