I had a chance to play with HTC Diamond today. Nice device but I can't say it is significantly faster than the P1, which is expected of Micro$oft. The battery of the P1 would last at least twice longer than the Diamond. There is only one mini USB connector at the bottom which is also used for charging and as an earphone plug - no 3.5mm. The touch flo is very slick but for example you can't use the same finger tapping when within contacts. My P1 (and P990) is in a way much better since I use Primetech Contacts.
I will still wait to have a chance to handle HTC Touch Pro and wait to see what SE may have to offer for 2009 - except for the X1.

Oh My God

One guy posts stating Elder (A guy who runs a mobile phone review web site) got a letter from Sony Ericsson telling him everything SE are going to do this year and next.............

And the SE hatters jump on it and others believe it. Yet there is NO I say again currently NO proof of this letter.

Edit: And also today Nokia have sated as fact the N series is going to be scrapped due to poor sales.

But X1 looks like the strongest WM device (but maybe you don't want WM).
Just from looks, I take X1 over TouchPro.

Enough with the jokes, any news about the next G phone at all? Was this not supposed to be a G900 with GPS or what? Sorry for asking again but will there be a UIQ 3.3 update for the G900 at all?

Does anyone know if UIQ is being developed further i.e. UIQ 4 since 3.3 looks finished? The smape article says that would most likely focus on UIQ since it has little experience of WM, so where are the UIQ phones then?

Granted we haven't seen X1 to the extent HTC is displaying Touch Pro but the Diamond which is supposed to be very similar to Touch Pro is a very nice device. It's not a matter of liking WM (and I don't) but I have serious concerns about SE's ability to support a first generation (for SE) WM device with which they have no previous experience. For that single reason alone I would choose Touch Pro.
However slim the chances seem, I am still hoping for an improved UIQ3 device to fill the 2 year gap until SF is ready.

Lets just wait till September and see what happens. The only thing left to announce is some sort of UIQ device. We got enough Walkmans, Cybershot, and mid tier phones. A few UIQ High ends running 3.3 should let UIQ go out with a bang.

@baddass,

I would expect one, I mean they developed BeiBei, so you know they have done it. SE will launch a G series with GPS and UIQ 3.3 no doubt. Lets not forget it will 2 years before a decent SE new Symbian alliance phone will be out. The X1 I think will sell well, mind you with the news of a potential 200 thousand iPhone order from HSBC, then perhaps Win Mo business phones will one day be few and far between.
