just to finish off the 4k discussion. i agree with rickyD that 4K is very unlikely. it seemed suspicious to me that the slides would use the eiffel tower photo and circle a spec sheet like that. an official sony presentation would simply say "4K VIDEO at "whatever frames.
also, i forget, but does honami have stereo speakers?

oh wow.. dual event on the same day!? that's great! i didn't check, but are they timed to happen around the same time period so the IFA event doesn't steal any thunder? i guess the IFA event is more important though.

Seems to me Sony's event will be mainly about Imaging related stuffs: Honami, ILC3000, QX lenses, 16-70 Zeiss E-mount, and NEX Full frame. If you ask me, Sony's invitation shapes up to be a major imaging oriented announcement on a consumer electronics oriented tech event!
