Steal one from somebody? Hit them over the head with something heavy, like Fatreg's wallet and then grab it and run as fast as you can...

Seriously, if you can't get any device that is capable of re-partitioning it like a PC, mac, linux box, posh digital picture frame etc. to recognise it then it needs to go off 'for repair', which of course in this case means getting it replaced under guarantee. If it's out of guarantee, you've had it

you can use use gnome partition editor (under add-remove programs or on ubuntu live cd )


its called g-parted (just make sure you dont format the wrong drive!!)


select drive from Gparted(menu) > devices and will come up with the size (and name) of your portable drive


you get a graphical representation of your drive

right click the bar with your memory (yellow is allocated, white is unallocated) and select "unmount"


and format it to the what you had before (my mem pen is fat16)


gparted is NOT installed by default (open up comand line and enter this to install):

Hey my Ram isn't working :/

Shows up in bios fine but it seems that whenver i challenge my PC and use several programmes at once, ( Firefox, MSN and WMP seems to do it) the PC goes really slow and often crashes. Its as if the pc cant access the other sticks of ram to help it lol.

Currently only have the 2gb plugged in and its fine.

can someone that has virgin media internet see if plugging a computer into the usb socket, and the other into the earthnet socket thing (its not working now )


only one computer will work at a time with the modem, weras we used to share the modem with the two computers

My vista is having SERIOUS problems dude! everytime i start her up she tells me soemthing cannot be loaded (not generally the same thing too).....

any ideas?

ive doen the norm of installing and running both ad-aware and spy-bot S&D,
Ive also got AVG running and completed a full system scan......

any ideas?!?
