Increasing sensor size is the most practical thing to do.
The sensor size is the biggest limitation in mobile phone camera and if sony manages a huge sensor with decent enouugh pixels and processing it will be awesome.
Also why should Sony stop using aube?
It will be a bad decision right as they had to spend a significant amount in R and D?
Why should they abandon such a great tech?
I hope aube or a better version of it will be still present... And btw what's mugen?

well, Aube can also be used in HDR (Sony's own version),or should I say Mugen IMAGE SIGNAL PROCESSING?
Mugen as 無限?
Never hard of it, but that's the name of new processor replacing aubu?

I suppose if they have intention on keep giving a clean almost noise-free night footage.
Also 12MP 4:3 would be 9 or 10MP 16:9 and less than 8MP 21:9.
Which would prevent the device from recording 4K 21:9.
I would say it is way more practical to increase sensor size while maintain current resolution than using AUBE
You are so cute! But some one said lager pixel size

Larger sensor with same pixel before = larger pixel size
