The previous 10+ also had a different rear camera setup than the regular 10. So who knows if Sony will do the same thing or just use the same camera from the 10 II.
I do wonder why the 10+ II was not announced at the same time as the 10 like last time. Maybe they wanted more attention on the xperia 1 II.

10 was 13MP + 5MP, now 12 + 8+ 8 ..
10+ was 12+ 13 ... Maybe 12/13/8?

Announcement to Shipping times - this has always been Sony's Achilles heel! I'm hoping 2020 will change that because the interest in the Xperia 1 mark II is incredibly high, I'd say higher then that of the Xperia Z5/Z5 Premium was a while ago.
Samsung's Galaxy S20 Ultra is not making such a splash nor sales as much as initially thought it's first week of announcement, and Sony can hugely capitalize on this. Just hoping national carriers outside of the UK and Japan partner with Sony on this launch.
Anyone know the implications of warranty support and firmware releases if importing Xperia 1 mk II from UK to Canada/USA will be?
Thx

Only Apple has international warranty.
If you are in USA, but gets a unit from UK you will have to pay for service in USA if you need.
When I got my current phone, I almost bought on ebay because I wanted another colour not available here.
Sony said to me I would not be able to use warranty.

Supa_Fly, just buy it in the US, I talked to Sony Canada a while back, they told me that products bought in the US are under warranty in Canada.

Sony won’t capitalize on anything, let’s just hope this sells enough to keep Sony Mobile going. They pulled out of too many regions to be a major manufacturer at this point, they must just continue to be a niche phone maker that can stay afloat.

5 II must be just smaller version again.
So, can we know about III already?
Samsung Semicon will announce 150MP nonacell 1".

Samsung has an aggressive approach in competing with Sony in the image-sensor business.
