X1 screen is not bigger than touch pro screen. It may be longer but it's width is narrower. It's roughly the same if you compute the area.

2.8" vs 3.0" is deceiving between screens that are not the same in proportion.
Imagine a foot tall screen but is as narrow as a needle. Do you consider it bigger??
X1 screen is longer that's why it reaches 3.0" but it's narrower in width so the area is roughly the same as standard 2.8" 4:3 screen.
This is just an intermission topic because it's so quiet here these days

Area of Touch Pro = 3X x 4X = 3.792 sqin.
X1:
3^2 = (16y)^2 + (9y)^2
9 = 337y^2
0.0267 = y^2
y = 0.1634
Area of X1 = 16y x 9y = 3.846 sqin.
So X1's screen is larger.

That's what I meant! practically, 3.792 sqin vs 3.846 sqin are roughly the same.
Back to main topic: It seems no high-end announcement this September?

The way I see it, X1 would have a much better chance if SE could release it around the same time as Touch Pro. I'm OK with the specs that are on paper, what I'm worried about is the rumor that the X1 interface will not be ready until Feb. 2009. SE needs to make a good impression this time, another P990 experience will not help them at all. If they wait until the firmware is stable, they will be too late, if they release early they'll be taking a big risk.
Difficult decision to make. On the other hand, Touch Pro which is X1's direct competitor, is ready.
It's not about brand loyalty, I just want to get my money's worth and to be honest I don't have much faith left in SE based on last 2 years events.

The X1 is 800x480, that is not 16x9, it is 15x9.
So, the screen area of the x1 is:
9=(15y)^2+(9y)^2
9=306y^2
y^2=.0294
y=.1715
Area=15*.1715+9*0.1715=4.116
