@ Gucci,
Thanks, boet. Ya, I'm not the world's biggest lover of bulky phone covers, but I can't argue as to how well it protected the P900.
As regards Newcastle, well I really feel for what they're going through at the moment; they've sacked the manager recently and their performances have been pretty dire against less-established Premiership teams.
It's kinda like what West Ham went through last year in a way.

@ da brixsta,
Like most people, I expected The Gunners to maintain the Premiership lead after facing Birmingham yesterday... they played well to hold Wenger's boys to a draw though.

@ JK,
Welcome to the P1i fold!
Another smartphone in the ranks to maintain the Symbian platform balance.

Well my 6 month contract with Virgin (a limited 'special' through The Carphone Warehouse, which included a £90 chequeback) comes to an end next month, so I phoned them up earlier to push my luck as to what deal/s they could offer me to stay with them before I contemplated greener network pastures.
They're prepared to offer me 200 minutes and 200 sms's for £10 (approx R140) a month over 18 months, or £6.66 (approx R95) a month for 150 minutes and 150 sms's, over the same time frame.
Not too shabby...
I've got until the end of next month to make up my mind.

@ Jojo,
The mrs is a qualified music teacher, although she does teach other subjects too.

@JK: Where have you been bro? Granted, I've been on and off this thread for the last six months. Congrats on the new device, won't call it a phone as it does way more than call and text.

@ Hobbster,

Ya, but it'll be a very low spec phone that they'll give with that rate, which is fine as I'm happy with what I have at the mo.

However, there's an increasing number of contract 'SIM-only' options out now by Orange, T-Mobile and O2. You get NO phone, but you'll get plenty minutes, sms's etc for very little dosh, and you can opt out at any time with 1 month's notice. For example, if you pay £15 (approx R210) a month with Orange SIM-only, you'll get 225 minutes, 100 sms's and free unlimited evening and weekend landline calls!!

http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/paymsim

This would suit many people here, as many new phones are pretty affordable to say the least, thus people upgrade on their own accord, often before the contract is up, be it a 12 month or 18 month one.
I find many things here, not just phones, far more dispensible.

Decisions, decisions....

A typically gloomy, overcast Winter's day over the local park.
To be fair, it was clear blue skies for most of the morning.

Next P1i pic:
On 'The Tube' tonight. This coach will look a lot different in the morning on the way into work. We'll be using The Underground to get to and from work until we get the car back towards the end of the week.

Arty-farty night-time P1i pic through the local park tonight, walking back to the house:

Part of the Vincent Wanq Gogh art collection, (or should it be Wanqangelo, or Leonardo DaWanqa?) from his P1issed series, also taken tonight with the P1i. Should make millions with these at the Tate Modern Gallery...or Grahamstown Festival:

Ya Gucci, I guess I'll have to be a lot more vigilant when I'm in Jozi etc in 8 months' time. BTW, my one mate there in Jozi has that funny bleepy police squark that you here on their radios, plus a short garbled message before you here the sound again, as his ringtone. So when his phone rings, it kinda appears asif he's an under-cover police officer...that then answers his phone.
