I read AYA's interview the other day. Made me proud man! But... about all those phones U have used. How long do U usually use a phone? Maybe Angelgirl's elusive Father Christmas....let me stop here

@ihe: You are getting me confused now . @coola: Usually a phone lasts between 2 & 12 months in my hands. Whatz it with Angel's Father Christmas?

While MTel looks like the least likely network to take on GPRS. But, any competition on that platform is very welcome. Up MTel! MTN & Vee, over to you....

@Aya,for avoidance of doubt,I feel tht Apologetics shld b applied 2 defend d real motive behind shortchanging d actions or inactions of Nigerian wisemen 4 tht of Nigerian stupid men.If not Apologetics, then an apology. This message was posted from a Nokia

@ihe: There are few people on this planet as ready with an apology anytime as I am. But I don't see any point you have made courtesy of big gramma . Simplify your line of argument, then I can see your point & decide whether I am wrong or not.

My point again in simpler english: A majority of Nigerians are intellectually lazy. Rather than identify potentials & solve problems, they blame everone else & look at the grass on the other side. But a lizard in Lagos is a lizard (not an alligator) in Paris. Many times, such people are part of the problems they blame on others.

@ihe. That you have agreed to the fact that intellectual laziness exists among Nigerians is good. We have a common ground to start from.

Now, that it is in the majority is clearly evident, because the fruits of wisdom are always clear for all to see. The majority of Nigerians work day & night, year after year, with nothing to show for it.

A man whose salary is less than N5,000 a month has spawned 7 children. He has no functional savings account (or culture). He uses his muscles but not his head.

Someone will argue that its because of our economy (blame-shifting again), but I know a few who started poor but by reason of wisdom have built stable lives for themselves. My dad is a living example. And I know of others who started out comfortable but do not have a place to lay their heads today.

But you raised an issue which I must touch. A man cannot be wise and lazy at the same time. If he is lazy, then he is a foolish man. Every intellectually lazy Nigerian is a member of the commity of foolish men. No apologies about that
