I think we have noting to talk.
Ok. If the last uiq devices released will we get the variety of softwares? If released Phones with Uiq3.3. Then the count will be 2 or 3. For those phones i don't think we get much softwares! If we don't get much s/w then theres no point in getting O/S on the phone.

Is there any SE equivalent to the LG KF700 or Samsung F480/F700 in the works? And with that I mean: large touchscreen, no UIQ or WM but a touch version of the A-series software platform. I don't understand why SE doesn't jump on that train. I can understand why Nokia doesn't, they are successful in what they're doing. But SE isn't.
I currently own an iPhone, and I love the touch screen. And it's not just me, it's pretty much everyone. All SE has are these unattractive (to the general public I mean) G-series touch screen phones. SE has a far superior UI compared to the Samsung and LG UI's, I'd be interested to see how that would work out in a touch device.
This SE phone could be a winner I think:
- CLEAN design like KF700/F480/F700.
- Minimal screen display resolution of 320x480 (at least higher than iPhone).
- GPS (not necessarily), 3MP AF camera, HSDPA, FM-radio, the usual.
- Capacitive touch screen (VERY important imho)
- Nice, simple UI. Like their A-series, but then for touch devices as I previously stated. No OS like UIQ or WM that requires a more "advanced" user.
- 3.5mm jack. Will never happen, but still.
- Decent music player, perhaps 8GB built in.
- No Walkman/Cybershot-branding. Just name it Touch or whatever they like.

^I don't know what you mean by unattractive G-series phones... that's just probably your opinion because I know many people who own and love the G900, praising it for its simple yet efficient design... a nice all-in-one package.
Thanks Mizzle for the answer btw =) And thanks moogoo for answering my other question XD =P

Read carefully what I say. It's not attractive to the masses. I like its design, but it's not as stylish as the phones I mentioned in my post. It's not that hard to see what I'm trying to point out.

I think that the screenshots above your post show a touch interface that is simplistic like you wanted. Sure its not based on the A platform and it is UIQ, but it definitely looks far easier to use for general users than previous UIQs.

Now that Nokia has announced the NAM N96, N79, and N85, what is SE going to counter with in September? It better be a high end smartphone that works world wide and has great hardware.

Yeah it has stopped, but that doesn't mean stores don't still sell them! And anyway, its fairly normal for production of phones to stop after around a year. They need to start making the successor!
