when youre on the "status" screen, under free memory it sometimes says "GPRS:" and at other times it says "3G:", and both can be either "ATTACHED or DETACHED" whats that all about?

after usin w960i, it feels shitty to use older uiq3 fones!! i like the new back button placement more..
@djin, would you prefer W960i over N95-8gb and why pls?
I simply love the w960 form factor and uiq touchscreen but its specs lost to N95-8gb
well, yes i do prefer w960i over n95 8gb. even thou it specs r inferior to n95 8gb, in practical usage i dint find that much difference, surely its lil slower.
Aneways, i prefer it cuz, its got great multimedia capabilities, it supports even wma videos, then its walkman is simply awesome.
Some 3gp videos shockingly lagged in n95! n they worked fine in w950i(have to try it yet on w960i). so i asume it will work fine in it too.
Also, this tme i wanted candybar phone rather than swivel or slider or flips(previous phone was w900i)..and w960i is 16mm, compared to n95 8gb which is 21 mm i guess..so its much easier for me to take it to skool ...
I also doubt on n95's slider, cause it uised to slide open sometimes, wen i wud keep it in my pocket...
Also, the battery life is very important to me, so thats also one of the reasons i chose w960i over n95 8gb.
just a note: i observed that n95 8gb's battery too got over heated once... did any1 else observed it too?

u can turn on and off ur 3g....turnin off 3g means no video calls n stuff like that , but it also means more battery life
i think spare stylus shud be there..i too first dint notice it, but wen i emptied the whole box, i got it!!

why does it sometimes say 3G attached or detached when i havent manually turned it on or off, is it to do with the reception?

Yes the screen is easily scratchable
What? I've had mine since the 11th of December - over a month now - and I have absolutely no scratches on the display due to the plastic layer above it. It is WAY better than any previous

smart phones and I'm really happy with it. Use the touch screen about 2-3 hours every day, so this is a really good result.
@bavlondon2
Although it does say to support H.264 it is only a very limited support. It can display the video on mine, but it is extremely laggy and stops playing after 10 seconds. There is audio, though. Seems like this is to be solved in a firmware update. Until then we can use Coreplayer.

So your w960 could play it (all be it 10s) but the other guy could? wth?
So your saying a firmware update will improve codecs? Ill believe it when I see it.
