its quite strange, I had not this good quality with my former firmware 037 as i have with latest 038, (same cam driver 2.1). so its obvious SE change something inside the driver, but still keep the driver number.
its especially landscape who looks more solid now.

Are you going to get the C903 as your next phone as the camera quality is exactly the same?

ive seen a few macro pics by c903 and im not super-impressed, my c902 produce better then so, (no doubt about it).

just because it have same camera (if it now have so, only SE who have the answer), it dosent mean it must produce same quality, (different branding, software, etc)
so my answer is No !

edit. (this c903 pics ive seen is shot with R1DA028...likely some beta fw. (just for the record))

GSM arena think otherwise "To sum up, at this stage the Sony Ericsson C903 outputs an identical image quality to Sony Ericsson C902. We expected at least a little improvement but it looks like the lens, the processing logic and the image sensor used are the same as in the C902. We have seen what Sony Ericsson are capable of with the superb image quality of the C905 camera, and we hoped to see at least a bit of its glory here in the C903 too."
