I don't like the new frames, non-metallic finish looks cheap and plain. Still old camera sensor, no OIS, weak flash. I'm waiting for Z5 Compact.

Could be. my guess is as good as yours.
I think it is reasonable to expect more change in design after 3 years from the first z, so i would be a bit disappointed if they don't make a more radical change by next year, like a metal back or whatever, but even then i wouldn't be shocked if they keep refining the design with all glass because it is recognized with the z line and likable. a new phone is directed at people who use a device that is a few years old. from the first z there are about 2 years.
