Even it would just be comparable to the 1020 would be great, therefore it would beat any androidphone with ease (even the upcoming one in 2013), yeah that's my guess.

Sony is the only 1 making proper sensors but we never fully used the capabilities of Exmor sensor due to JPEG and engineering.
Now that we have our engineers from DSLR team handling the Xperia camera department your obviously gonna get the best results.

Sorry it was OT, but this is a feature of Honami (and any other smartphone) that lumia does not have right!
Back to topic: so if honami has a better camera than Nokia Lumia 1020 (sorry Razec) then it will really be the phone of the year!

Ppl complaining about honami sample shot like crazy at xperia blog. GsmArena and PA will soon follow. Don't they know that high ISO will lead to a lot of noise?

I think every sane person would've seen that coming, The only reason I can see for people to bother reading the comment sections on those sites was to find some time to have fun laughs.

I'm told honami is 'better' than the Nokia 1020 for imaging. My source is a photographic artist who currently works for a client company of Sony Mobile in Beijing and has seen/used honami. I myself haven't seen the results to make a direct like for like comparison and I'm not sure put full faith in Sony to produce the goods at the first FW. Usually for a Q3 release phone you need to wait for about the time of the following MWC for about the time the next FW is released, most of the bugs fixed and the camera starts to reach it's potential.
I'll be very impressed and surprised if it beats 1020. I'll be blown away if it beats 808 PureView.
I love how serious Sony got about smartphones. They are hitting all the points. Beautiful design while being waterproof, top internal hardware, serious camera, etc... it just shows that if Sony get serious, they are no joke and not to be messed around with.
