@da wanqsta: Rumour has it that Moto might pull out of the handset market after lacklustre sales of its current line-up. This also follows the news that its CEO would leave the company.
Scary, Moto have a new building here in JHB. Beautiful building, wonder how long they gonna keep it.....
Looks like Siemens and Moto might have to give up their cellphone sectors altogether. They both are only here because of their networks.

The new

W380 clamshell is now on sale here.
@ da brixsta,
Yeah, I checked out the engadget article/s on the possible Moto handset exit.

I know I've had a light-hearted dig at their relatively specs-spartan line-up over the past few years, but we all know that it obviously isn't good news if there's a diminishing choice of handset manufacturers out there.
We've already lost Siemens, both Frog manufacturers (Alcatel and Sagem)have been/were in the financial doldrums and now Moto is at risk too, it seems...
Meanwhile Nokia's 40% (and climbing) market share looks certain to increase. Their more fashion-orientated phones (except the angular 7500 and 7900) aren't doing too badly either.
@ Hobbster,
Will check out the updated blog soon.

Shame poor Moto, some of you who are Prodigits users may have noticed im not exactly fond of Moto, and am "beefing" with quite a few Moto users there lol

im a bit big headed sometimes and like provoking the Moto users in to an argument lol but would be sad to see Moto go,thought there were on something good with the Z10, ah well as long as NOKIA,SE and HTC even Apple are around im happy lol, the next i-Phone should be realy good.

Howzit Jmash! Ya, I'm really (finally) getting more into UIQ3, as I slowly devote more time exploring what all's on offer. I've been so busy over the past 3-4 months that I haven't played with the P1i nearly as much as I thought I would've at this point, but the momentum is now building...
My P1i hangs on the odd occasion, but I still haven't updated the original f/w, as I was waiting to see if the current update alleviated the pink n' green tint issue. Apart from that, it's coping well with the increasing use that I'm subjecting it to.
Glad yo were able to revive your P1i, mfowethu.
Hopefully the Eishkom woes aren't affecting peeps in your neck of the woods too much.

Another

P1i pic: a decent perspective pic with (another) bril sunset. Taken this evening by one of the District Line tube train station's platforms. Dig the sunset hues reflecting on the tracks too:
