dont see it that way. they are incuring into a new line. probably this will be the only phone like that. if ppl start liking it, you will see

damm. sweet mother of....i've been waiting for SE to release a phone like this, i think its time for an upgrade
i think it looks pretty nice, very very slim and its front is made of 'metal" i think, looks pretty sturdy and strong, i be investing in this mob.
edit: i love the new way they placed the port (side ways so you don't bend the handsfree). looks very neat, hope the keypad is ergonomical, could of been bigger
