@ thecoolsha

The font change technique works fine for me atleast... But there is a slight difference in the fonts now...

The sound now lacks bass but I think its better than before... The speaker was never capable of handling bass well...

I have seen some say SMP does not work. I re-installed the application again, and can confirm is working. Even with level 3 clean up. This for version 1.45

Im thinking the feedback so far doesnt inspire me to upgrade!!! Zoiks!!

If you want to compare the firmware versions (by region) take a look at this below site which shows the region specific firmware versions and their respective release dates.

http://uiq3.sourceforge.net/w[....]php/CDA/P990i#Changing_the_CDA

GW1 and GW2 are the R5a17 and Swiss/Italy seems to be r5a16. i wonder what the real differences are between these versions though? Maybe like the earpiecevolume issue, there are some municipal regulations or something that the firmware must abide by? Ah what the heck...I'll upgrade anyways....

just upgraded to r5a17 from r5a16.

heres one difference - in /16 the screen took a good 1-2 seconds to show up upon opening the flip. its now almost instantaneous in /17.

nothing to get excited about of course - just something i noticed.
