The natural thing to do would be to retaliate and release there own 5mp model, but instead they wait 2 years! 2 years is like 20 years in the world of technology, by then nokia will proberly have a 10mp model out!

1. In many cases megapixels do not really matter. Most people can not tell the difference.
2. A 10 megapixel in many cases is no better than a 5 megapixel camera. You just have more megapixels to play with.
3. The sensor in a digital camera is what really makes it special, and there is no way Nokia or SE is going to put a $500 sensor in a phone.

Now for the fun part. SE has been promising and promising. I do not know who to blame more, Sony or Ericsson for the abortion that is SE. Their current crop of phones validates my switching from SE to Nokia.

More megapixels are many times a marketing plow. More always sounds better but in reality this is not always the case. By telling you that you have more, you think you are getting better.

Example. A 5 megapixel Nikon will have superior picture quality than my 5 megapixels N95. It is a matter of physics.

Pick any SE phone that compares to the N95, or N93i for that matter (maybe the P990). Maybe some Apple support. SE has stated that they have NO intention of supporting Macs, while Nokia is embracing the Mac community.

As I have said, time and time again. This is all subjective anyway. What may be a killer app for you, is a waste for me. So my "list" is subjective. I like the N95 feature list, as well as the Mac support it has. This is a good place to start.

sapporo, I wish you worked for SE and told them what you just said! Maybe we could get some high ends on the market!

If SE supported Macs better, would that lessen your bias towards Nokia?.

Well considering I did approach SE for a volume purchase of about 500 P990's and 500 M600i's for the US military and their response was "SE has no plans to support Apple Macintosh computers now nor in the future. Please refer to Apple for further information."

This sealed the deal for me. The US military has finally decided to spread the wealth as it were and pick from multiple venders, from computers (only using Dell), and phones (only using Nokia's), and as a consultant I decided to buy phones from a manufacture that I was using, i.e. SE. After SE said no support for Mac's, and a simply awful phone (M600i), I decided that enough is enough and switched to Nokia.
