the w960i DOES have a flash. you can clearly see it in the pics and in some videos... some on youtube and the w960 demo video shows a flash too. 2 little circle led lights.

I don't know about the OSE phones, but UIQ3 models like the the W950, M600, and shortly W960 aren't like that. One squeeze of the "back" button will always get you back to the standby screen, from where you can just go ahead and dial, or select a contact. Oh, and the calls menu always list last dialled/received as well as missed.

on a side note: i think i overhyped everything in my head
not too excited by the phones, except for the w910 for some odd reason and the w960 is too similar to their other smartphones
