Someting I had a few times is that changing settings only take effect after a reboot or various tries.
1. Changing the default ringtone to an mp3 of choice. I changed it, but kept getting the default ringtone (even after various changes/tries)... After a reboot it worked fine.
2. Changing the backlight settings... Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. My screen didn't turn off (it dimmed but didn't completely turn off). After changing the settings a few times it suddenly DID work as expected.
Hard to put a finger on these...

I have an annoying bug in my P1i:
the phone doesnt recognize incoming phonecalls/messages from my "Contacts" instead it just displays the phone number (then asking if I'd like to save the number to my Contacts even though its already there).
so, now I never know who's calling me as I only see the phone number. same with messages. very annoying!

Hello all, new user to these forums. I had been using an M600 for about a year and was basically happy with it, have had the P1 for about 2 weeks now.
Mostly happy but there are a few bugs which are starting to drive me nuts.
1. Cannot delete multiple SMS messages at one time, I can confirm the above poster's problem. My error message however is "Bad Request". (MAJOR)
2. Unlike the M600 the P1 is storing my SMS messages on my SIM card, and I cannot find any place where I can change the setting to store in phone memory instead. (MAJOR)
3. When exiting viewing an SMS message, list view scrolls back to the top, rather than to where the message I just viewed was (MINOR)
4. From initial messaging menu, cannot scroll to "Inbox" for email or Activesync push mail. Only way to get there is from the home screen. (MAJOR)
I send and recieve over 4000 text messages per month due to my work (+ a billion emails), so the problems are very real for me

Hopefully I did not just flush $650 down the toilet.
Any help would be appreciated! I'm running the following firmware:
Phone CXC 162037 R9G007
BT CXC162143 R1C
Organizer CXC162108 R6D23
CDA CDA 162025/66 R2A
I have performed a master reset and the problems still exist.
Thanks...

I don't know if this is a bug buy...
When some one calls me and the phone is in the charger, the phone doesn't viberate. THe phone is on silent and its supposted to viberate.
its not a bug mate. even my T68i dont vibrate while on charging.

My P1 doesn't have the message deletion error. I can mark message(s) then delete using the command from the More menu although I usually just use the back arrow key.

Post by thklinge : Agreed, it's annoying. It's the same with the phonebook but this is just down to the phone not beeing quick enough and not a direct bug.
I don't quite agree with that statement, the keyboard helper could be started in the background before the reply window becomes active. Alternatively, once the keyboard helper starts it could correct the first character of the message.
I think its more a matter of the order the components are started rather than the overall system.
Post by thklinge: Bug with deleting messages...
This is not a problem with my P1i, maybe this is a problem that only appears for certain regions?

Indeed, without a doubt a wonderful piece of phone! Hardly any bugs and excellent performance. Congrats to all who dared buying it!

When I try to use the trackID service I get the following message “We’re sorry, but your device is not allowed to use this service” Does anyone has any idea why?
