the answer is on this topic. There is no embedded cover art support in kd player yet. There is a work around, a painful one, if you are interested read the thread again.

just found out that when i put the kdplayer in my main menu (modified the menu.ml and put it in the place of ordinary media player) it now starts when i hit the joystick up
previously the joystick launched original player...
all off you had this figured out already i guess...

that's because your joystick up shortcut is configure to activate that menu item position (regardless of what it's configured to run).
This is how I have mine setup too.

Slight bug, when I turn off stereo bluetooth headphone the headphone bluetooth icon still shows in handphone despite I already turn off bluetooth in handphone as well. Does not do that with build in media player.

Has anyone else noticed that volume is quite low using KD Player? Could that be due to the absence of a graphic equaliser?
