It's been a long wait but I'm also liking this new firmware.
A lot speedier than the previous one, nice photoswitch animation.
I hope the random resets are gone with this one
edit: network coverage is also improved. in my room, in the middle of the city I always got full gsm or 2 bar 3G. now I get what I have here, full bar of HSDPA

hi there
i been checking on this website for quite some time, i been have same problems with my w910i, since i got it which was 3 months ago to tackle the problem i tried giving it to carphone ware house they couldnt fix it, then i gave it to 3 repair center, after 2 weeks they returned my phone with same firmware (telling me its fixed :S). i still have the same problem and now i proper fed up with 3 tech support and 3. so i have couple of questions regrading the problem so can any plz help me out.
currently my phone is with three they suppose to delivery it back to me today once again they delaying it.
i asked three when the next three compatible firmware is going to be released . they had no answer i asked for replacement they offered me nokia 6500 or se w880 (refurbished) both phones were released time ago which cant be compared with w910i (new firmware version).
according to three , no one has complained to them about bugs in the software/firmware. which i found really hard to believe :S
i have the R1CA029 firmware.
questions:
1. what can i do to solve this problem , coz i no i cant upgrade the firmware since its not compatible with three network, according to three.
2. is the latest firmware (R1EA030) is it compatible with three network ??
3. is there way i can cancel the contract with three with out paying the rest of my contract. coz they are not providing me with good service and the product is faulty.
can some1 please help me out.. i am really getting stressed out with this problem since three takes ages to return my phone and i cant use my 3 simcard on any other phones which makes me phoneless for weeks.
thank you

R1EA030 Firmware Release Confirmed!
The update is actually available online through SUES. Firmware changes are mention above in previous posts.
Hopefully, they can fix the whole speed issue as i'm still finding the W910i to be a little laggy for my liking.
*OMAMA, you can actually convert your phone to an unbranded version and then update through SEUS. Go to davinci website and download their firmware there. I think it's approx $30 AUD. Then just reconfigure internet and sms settings to fit that of your network provider.
It's about time they released the firmware. Anyone know if SE have a firmware site that might give details as to when firmwares are released. I don't think any of us would have known if not for the new phone having R1EA030.

Yep, just updated to R1EA030:
- Definately faster all round
- The Equalizer now stays on your manual settings permenantly. (Yay!)
- Photos smoothly scroll to the next pic (as was shown on the original K850i video
- Faster loading of Mem Card files
- Putting a photo as wallpaper is now very high quality
If there is something you want me to test, just let me know.

One problem still occurs after the R1EA030 Update.
That is when music player is running in background, phone is slowed considerably. Not sure what is wrong with this phone as it has a pretty spec'd processor lol.

I think the update is, as yet, unavailable for Vodafone users. That's ok for me though as I have very few problems.
However, SEUS does say "Update not available", but I'm not sure what to take away from that. It could mean it is being prepared for updating as we speak. I'll keep trying over the next few days.
Funny that the K850i and W910i got their updates at once, and they seem to fix the exact same things! It just goes to show SE is well aware of their problems.
