@ajack
This is a great tip. I have been using System Manager v1.0 since I saw the thread http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=25677&forum=35&0 and it works great.
Programs which almost never close when they are supposer to are the control panel, opera, cam, pictures and sometimes messages. We wouldn't need this if the programs closed themself properly with the use of a "close" button or just when switching to the "first page with flip open".

I know know everything about connecting network via bluetooth...

1. get your bluetooth device connected with your P800
2. connect serial port on P800 to your PC (with bluetooth software)
3. INSTALL PC SUITE FOR P800! A must have ! This will provide internet access via serial port!
4. You must search and connect your phone in PC Suite. A small icon of phone will appear!
5. Create special account on P800. As descibed on other posts, just add, name it and create, don't change anything. Next choose this one as your preferred.
6. That's it! Every program on your P800 should use this connection for now!

ok i'm a newbie so sorry if this is a stupid question but why would you want to surf the net via a bluetooth connection to your pc? because you cannot be too far from your pc for bt to work (will it go through walls - if so how many and how far). also p800 screen much smaller than pc monitor. thanks for any feed back on this.

Ive read thru this whole thread and i think ive tried everythin out, but i havn't yet been successful in using the P800 internal browser and email client via bluetooth.

I can use the internet via bluetooth without any problems when i use the Opera Browser. (means im paired and bluetooth is workin fine )

I have tried making a dummy GPRS account and even tried to put the IP address manually as 127.0.0.1 or 123.0.0.0, but still no success.

I am on R2F and i have not been subscribed to any GPRS Service. Therefore i dont have GPRS and the status on the phone shows Avaliable but Unattached.

Could some one pls help me out, maybe i am missing something.

Thanks in advance.

@roygbiv

Because you should be able to do it pretty much from *anywhere* in your home, i.e. not sat in front of a PC/desk/office etc. - like the bath??!! LOL

Hey,

Tried to do the same setups on my T610 to surf the internet via my computer's ADSL connection. I added the dummy WAP-profile and datacomm. setting ( t's not on top of the list though, it's number 3 with the MMS and GPRS accounts before it).

Now when I try to surf the internet with the built-in browser (press the "internet" button on the side) it says connnecting, fetching, and then "wrong password or user name". Then it just shuts down.

I've activated the serial port for the T610 on my computer, and everything else Bluetooth works, like transfer files, use PCcontrol etc.

Doesn't it work because it can't be done on this phone (why??) or do I just have to install a different webclient?

Also, I try to use the T610 as a modem on my laptop, but when I enter *99***3 (CID=3 is the GPRS connection on the T610) it doesn't work, connection timeout.

Would be cool if I could surf on the toilet for free...

/Cyber
