After having no luck with fring, I finally succeeded yesterday in doing VOIP over Wi-Fi on my X10 with Sipdroid which now allows me to reach people on Skype. (Have only managed voice, though.)
Set up was complicated: I had to set up both a PBXes.org account and an account with sip2sip to serve as a "trunk." (Both are free, however.) All the instructions can be found through links on the Sipdroid website.

are there any apps like a image widget on the home screen (just like that on the side bar of windows), any image gallery application (like just pictures), a good music player with eq, playlist, m4a support?? im using xperia x10..so i dont know if all apps will work on it or not !!
