Hmm... After my negative comments about the UI and the phone being a disappointment as it doesn't deliver as a replacement for my iPhone 3GS I may end up buying one anyway. This shot by cu015170 is amazing:

I really cannot believe you still do not understand why im not able to use an iPhone yet. Its not because of the features the phone does have, its the ones it does not.
The complete lack of a proper Bluetooth file transfer profile renders everything Apple have released since 2007 not possible for me to own.
I dont really have anything against the iOS, its just what it lacks that stops me thinking and agreeing with you on its place in the food chain. For some people the iPhone 4 is near damn perfect, for me its far from it. I havent used a dedicated digital camera since the K750i came out in 2005. Since owning a Satio with Xenon flash, i couldnt go back to the rather poor iPhone 4 LED.
I just get annoyed with people claiming how great iPhones are, yet they're so basic. Yes they have great innovative features that other companies like Nokia have implemented in their device. But that is what makes phones like the N8 better imo. They have their own depth of technology and add in other functions that some companies use as their main features.
@ false_morel - Ive seen every colour, my favourite is the orange which i own simply because its different and i doubt ill see another person with it. Ive seen several N8 owners in the street this past 2 weeks since mine was being replaced. They were all black or silver. Im glad mine is unique - a bit !

Arrived nice and early this morning:
Not a fan of green, but this looks great, Its lime green with a metalic finish, very nice.
In the box there is a lot of goodies: Car Charger, USB-OTG adapter, HDMI adapter, in-ear headphones, AC charger and the other usual stuff:
Charged up at around 11, now sitting at 2bars at 5:30pm, it will need a few more charge cycles but NO PHONE at the moment will ever do a full day with my heavy useage

Email set to soonest, and due to Facebook and Twitter i get a lot of it.
Had music playing for around 2.5hours
Web browsing on and off constantly either on EDGE or on HSDPA (signal really is patchy where i am).
Being on Facebook, Whatsapp (IM) and Twitter
and then also watching a few videos downloaded from YouTube, had to transfer them from my X10 as i cant find a YT downloader for the N8.
EDIT: Some calls and SMS to, didnt have much today though, as im not upto anything today/tonight.

You see i use my phones heavily too, but the N8 i find lasts 2 days minimum !
I spend around 2-3 hours per day making phone calls. Constant text messaging, but i never use email.
I now have an "unlimited" (limited to 750mb - heh !) data tarrif therefore have the homescreen Facebook widget and others set to online. So im constantly when bored at work (being the manager) going on Facebook or simply surfing the web.
I use my phone as a Bluetooth hard drive, constantly backing up files to take home with me from work and back again. I also use Ovi maps to find places or addresses even within my own city.
Im about to try copying various .avi movies to my N8 but im not sure if it supports .avi files.. ?

Im going to take your word for it,as i said the battery will need a few cycles, at the moment its been sitting on 2bars for quite long
knowing the Symbian battery meter it could either go straight to nothing OR stay like this for the next hour or two, either way it is looking good thus far.
AFAIK N8 supports avi/divx/xvid/mkv, im going to try load a few later to.

I dont think its anything wrong with the battery meter though. My first N8 i charged up and each day would last me with only a single bar dropped if it dropped one at all ! then the next day it would drop more rapidly but still by the end of the second day still have at least 2 bars.
I dont watch much video on my phones though apart from
The Phones Show. Mostly because im unable to rip dvds on my current pc which is rather slow, which may explain your lesser battery life.
My second N8 arrived last night and i charged it up. Ive not charged it once since then and its still on full battery life, according to the meter. If the battery meter was not accurate, my phone(s) would have died on me. Not once has a N8 refused to turn on due to low power unlike my Satio, which i needed to charge at home, at work and in the car to get a full days use !

Sadly, my first .avi video files did play, but it would appear the encoded sound was not compatible. Therefore the video is silent and pointless.
Trying another at the moment.

Ive always found Symbian battery meters not to be accurate, 1st bar takes forever, then suddenly the next 2 drop quicker. If i found the phone to be sitting on full bars too long i would reboot and thats when the truth would come out,2bars would be gone. My 5800 never died on me but its one of those things ive noticed when using Symbians, you get used to it though, its not largerly inaccurate but can give the wrong impression sometimes.
What happened to your 1st N8?
