Good news for music fans!
The BBC radio player ( and many other IC stations) is working on the X10 mini pro.
Spotify is running a free trial UK / Scandinavia :more under
Also to recommend of late:
Auto Speak : my mates have found out I have this and send sweary word SMSs. Ha ha. Funny the first time. Still, great if you are driving.
LED light: good flash ON button, with a battery level indicator. Invaluable actually.
GMail: i have issues with their attitude to caching-synching but it is a quick access app so I use it all the time.
Skype : Absolutely better than a normal skype handset with even under 128 mbps. Better than many international calls on the land line!!! I believe you need an account with credit in it to access the android app though ??
WAPedia: Wiki goes android in a simple direct app interface. A bit cWAPpy as the name suggests though.
Google Translate: once again, don't piss about with the browser, go straight in
Evernote: not used this yet: any comments?
SPOTIFY: I note that some artists have elected to have their albums streamed at higher compression or outright lower quality ie poor FM! When you load the app, NB!!! it is default on low bandwidth, but also default on WiFi which is cool if you sync a playlist by accident!

Launcher PRO 0.8.4 - very good launcher app with the ability to hide icons from drawer. Alot of customisation to homescreen
Gameboid + Nesoid - Gameboy Advance + NES emulator (super col with my mini Pro, as i can set keys to WASD and IJKL
)
Unified remote - control PC via wifi or 3G
Wifi file explorer - upload download files via wifi (opened through firefox - i would prefer direct open as a hard drive - but this way i can ask my girlfriend to upload to my SD from another city
)
Wefi - auto wifi connection app
GO sms - cool SMS app with custom ringtone for everyone (SMS), custom LED light, custom vibration pattern, etc.
Rock player - best movie player
Realcalc - cool scientific calculator
and last but not least Chordbot and Electrum drum machine to create some nice music / beats

screen to 50% light, 2G network on, data traffic off. And thats about all you can do. And ofc. dont use live wallpapers and poorly optimized monitoring apps (watchdog 3G, etc.). Use advanced task killer to kill running apps, but make sure to ignore alarm, contacts, and advanced task killer (dont know if it can kill itself, but better ignore
).
And when you play games or listen to music, use airplane mode.
Thats all i can say..
