@random Any idea which sensor will be used in the Z4 ? Would be nice if they have a brand new sensor rather than using the same for the 4th flagship in a row.

There is nothing wrong with the current sensor, the only thing missing is on sensor phase detection, and that's it.
Seeing as Sony has decided to sell the 20.7MP sensor, Sony needs to step up the game in the focusing game, optics and image processing. I honestly hope Sony will take advantage of the RAW mode in android 5.

@ascariss I don't think there is anything wrong with the sensor, In the right hands it's the best shooter out there between Android and iPhone. I just think Sony needs something new and not to get complacent like what Apple have done with the camera in the iPhone, yes the camera has got better with each new flagship but a time will come when that sensor has reached it's limit for image quality and can't go any further, hopefully Sony have something amazing hidden up their sleeves come MWC.
@tk007 The last rumor for anything to do with sound was the introduction of the S-Master digital amp, If Sony can squeeze that into the Z4 then that to me would be the standout feature regardless of what the camera is capable of.

Same sensor as Z3. No changes.
S-Master HX will be present on Z4 but don't expect Walkman grade audio quality. It will be similar to "BIONZ" on Xperia.

The problem has never been with sensor. It's because of a cheap lens and too much post processing. All other manufacturers use the same Sony sensor, even Samsung in their latest note.

Nice to know nonetheless. btw, do you know something about z4 display size and resolution? is sony really going with 5.2" fhd for international variants and 5.5" qhd for us variants?
