Wow. Sounds great goldenface. Wish I could check it out like that.

Place your preorder yet?

Ironically, I wasn't too impressed with it when I saw the Xperia 1 yesterday. It looks really outdated next to the Oneplus 7 Pro or even any flagship released this year.

I'm having a second thought now.

Aesthetics will always be subjective, "There's no accounting for taste" as the saying goes. It's a different design direction from every other flagship out there and may not be to everyone's tastes, but I think there's something to be said for standing out in a sea of similar looking Chinese stuff which either copies Samsung, or Samsung copies......and on a technical level there's nothing outdated about this handset

What got me the most is that fact that it is long and slim but not in a way that make it seem cumbersome. It still feels and looks svelte, even with that lovely, wide screen.

McKinley - sorry to hear that. but you gotta absolutely love it to spend that kind of money, so I totally understand. what was it about it that made you think it was outdated? the fact that it still had bezels, albeit minimal?

I've ordered mine. Usually I wait until the price drops a bit but I am really curious to see what the alpha team has done with the camera and with the free headphones it was too good to miss...

Ordered one too (with the 1000xm3). Very palm friendly phone and the screen is the best I've ever seen.

Yes, it reminds me much of my Galaxy S9+. Not necessarily a bad thing though but I wanted it to feel more fresh.

The grey looks amazing in real life and of course black. I'm holding out for Xperia 2 only because of size but I'm also very tempted by this. The screen quality is phenomenal and I hope they can make future models with a smaller OLED like the XZ3.

Question, does the black look like cheap plastic or does it look legit premium? Cuz I'm torn between white and purple as for now. But if the black looks legit I will then consider it too!
