@Anuj - Depends on what tariff you go on mate, I'm on a really high one which is something like £90 a month! (which will be £25 next month) and I got the phone free. I know that is a horrendously high tariff (for some people i.e. me), that's why I'll make the most of it and catch up with everyone I haven't seen in ages! There are also tariffs such as £50 (phone £49.99 I think) and a £70 (phone for £29.99) but I got suckered in by the sales guy in getting the phone free and paying a higher tariff!

@pachy - Mmmm spicy hot chicken wings...

@Anuj
It constantly changes, you have to decide how confident you are about downgrading your tariff, lots of people have got CPW to pricematcch OSPS but lately CPW have decided that because OSPS are out of stock, they dont have to, buy best thing is to ring 08000490049 ask what they will do & if they have any phones, i think you could get one for £79 with a pricematch (dont mention OSPS are out of stock) then £50 a month.
You can downgrade when CPW "Say" they let you, to £15 (after 3 months) which makes the phone £69 + 3 mnths @ £150 + 9 mnths @ £135 =
£385

Or if you feel brave;

Try YP 1000 phone is free, pay one month @£110 then downgrade to £15
total cost for year is £15 x 11 = £165 + £110 = £275

BUT,
You might need lots of free minutes & want to keep a tariff going all year so the calculation is for the individual to decide.remember that the 2000 free texts for 6 months iss only on YP120 or above.

@explain, i could send the chicken bones to the starving CPW sales staff.

They expect sim-free versions early next week and said that they would do a sim-free version on orange

I bought my P900 from www.mobileshop.com at Friday 7 Nov.By then it was "Pre-order" ,then at Friday 23 it changed to "In-stock" and yesterday at Wednesday 26 changed to "Released December".
I called them twice all this time and they just don't know when i am goin to have it!Now they tell me, i will get it "around december" without any promises ofcourse!!!
The thing is that they took the money from my card as soon as i made the order!THIS IS THE ONLY THING THEY KNOW HOW TO DO!

Then may I suggest you ask to be refunded and look else where....
I posted about this site lower down...
http://www.cheshirephones.shopmobiles.com/SimFree2.asp?Phone=502&Network=O2

which was SIMFREE for £551 which is over £100 cheaper then when I got my P900 few weeks ago....

It is available with a contract too...

Worth a look?

Sim free phones still look like an expensive option for the likes
of myself.

I am looking for the lowest total purchase cost with a contract
over a 12 month period i.e.
Initial Cost £69
4 Months @45
8 Months @10 then cancel.
Total cost = £329
becuase I am not concerned about the calls, I just want the hardware.

If anybody knows of a company matching or beating the now
notorious OSPS please let me know ?

Or even if OSPS start getting them in stock

I just called 'em again.

The lovely girl @ OSPS said to me: "yada yada yada hopefully should arrive at our warehouse in the next couple of working days blah blah la de da"!!!

Will probably be longer though. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

I'd worry about don'tstopphoneshop! Alarm bells ring when, as people have said on here, they take your money even tho they are out of stock. They never seem to have any stock either. This message was posted from a T300
