I got my P900 and used it for about 3 months with flip on. Then tried it with flip off and won't go back. It's so much better for me and imho gives a more professional look.

Bear in mind I hardly send txt from my phone and watch a lot of movies etc on it. Holding the phone landscape is easy with out the flip. For those who send a lot of txt then you probably have to keep the flip on (like my brother). Besides I have long finger nails on my right hand (guitar) so pressing the screen is no problem for me. Only thing I miss are the nice blue buttons.

For the guy that had problems with the scroll back press not going back with the flip off, no problems here.

I use my P800 as a PDA more than a phone. Virtual flip icon activated just if I forget that its a phone
BTW in a P900/P910 I might change of opinion...

definitely with flip. making calls is just a button away with the speed dial. plus, smsing while doing 120kph on freeway has never been easier.

My old p800 was used minus the flip, better looking and easier to carry.
My p910 is flip on, better looking and very handy when texting when mobile.
