Thank you. I just "seem to know a *little bit* about everything", as my friends like to say
Rogers has an offer on the table to buy up Fido. That offer is open until this Friday (or there about). It's up to Fido shareholders to decide whether they want to sell, and they are expected to accept the offer. Then there is still government approvals to be sought, which have just been granted as of Nov 3.
So roaming between Fido and Rogers may happen before the new year
As for CityFido in Montreal... don't know!
============
EDIT: as it turns out, Rogers/Fido roaming is happening right away... starting Nov 9.

Yay! City Fido now in Montreal, and we also get to use Rogers' network free for 3 months...but migrating to the city fido plan will cost you 50$ in admin fees, and will only start @ the beginning of your next billing cycle...

Have any of you ever understood why with Fido, the price of a P910 (regular price) is the same as a P800? Or that the P800 is still available for purchase when the P900 is not? I don't know...doesnt make much sense to me...

Hey wasssup...just got a question regarding reception for the S700 on the FIDO network. How is it? Any problems?? Im thinking of getting one, but i've heard the reception is kinda sketchy. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I dont know that there would be any problems...the network determines the reception, not the actual phone...with Fido, it would depend what area you're in...I'm in Montreal, have a P800 and don't have any reception problems...
And welcome to Esato

@ raver4444
Fido sells it, but it would be locked...and have you tried the TelePlus stores? Theres on in Place Montreal Trust, they usually sell unlocked phones...
@assmonkey
im not sure why you would want to buy it from Canada, but you can always check out
www.cellulord.com, it's operated by a former ESATO member...
